WHAT YOU CAN DO!

A full Planning Application has now been submitted to Stroud District Council and it will be dealt with at the April Development Control Committee meeting probably on April 27th. The deadline we have been given for objection letters to be received by the Planning department of Stroud District Council is extended to some time in March 2010, actual date yet to be advised! This date has been extended to give people the opportunity to make their submissions in good time, given the sensitivity and concern surrounding the proposal for a Motorway Service Area in this particular location. Please do not waste this opportunity.

 

It is possible that letters received after this date will still be accepted, and counted, but to be certain you should write, (not anonymously though), as soon as possible to ensure their receipt in time. If we get any further extension we will post the details on this page as and when changes occur.

 

For advice on writing an objection letter please use the following links. Objections should be made on planning grounds and some examples of letters are provided for your reference. If you read the December press release you will find many of the arguments that are being made by CAMSA, these should provide you with some useful guidance. Formulate your letter(s) in your own words and remember that letters from individuals rather than families as a whole are the preferred method as the more letters that Stroud District Council receives the better. You can of course download any of the templates and edit/add to suit your own views.

Guidance Notes

Remember that if you require assistance you can come along to Brookthorpe Village Hall on Monday March 1st from 7.15pm and we will assist you or answer any questions you may have regarding this type of letter writing. A simple letter is all that is required so please do not be afraid to ask if you are not sure.
